Adobe releases PDF 1.7 spec for industry standardization
Posted By Administrator On 2. February 2007 @ 9:03 am In Graphic Design | 1 Comment

Adobe announced it plans to release the Portable Document Format (PDF) 1.7 spec to AIIM, the Enterprise Content Management Association, for publication by the ISO. Nettie Hartsock reports.
It’s time to standardize stuff like PDF. Soon we will finally have applications like Corel and other (non adobe) applications that will have to pay to have standard output to ISO certified pdf documents.
Anyhow, it’s a good thing because, problems with reading and displaying different pdf documents on different platforms will be minimum, or at least none.
